Who am I without Henry

 Who am I when I am not a mum ?

Modern motherhood is so demanding and intense, which is why our identities are lost so intensely.

Old school motherhood would have been spread between members of the community and family. So the mother would be less depleted. Father too. And the whole “becoming a mother” wouldn’t be as big a deal.

So what has become, of the old me ? Am I still there ? Or have I been forced to grow up too quickly, once again.
